Free monster crochet pattern - meet Rosalinda, the friendly monster!

She’s here! Meet Rosalinda, my newest free monster crochet pattern and, I have to admit, maybe the cutest one I've designed yet! When I was sketching her out, I pictured a sweet, girlish monster with a big, friendly mouth and the most curious eyes. I think she turned out just right, and now you can crochet her, too!

This free amigurumi pattern is not only adorable, it's also completely no-sew! I designed Rosalinda to be a fantastic beginner friendly pattern, if you're comfortable with the basic stitches, you can create your own cute monster with ease.

But before we start, you should know Rosalinda isn't the only monster in my plushie family! If you love her, you’ll want to meet her friends and crochet the whole gang.

Embroider eyelashes

With black yarn embroider the eyelashes, as shown on the pictures.

Embroider the mouth

Use a pin to mark the position of the mouth between rows 19-20 of the head, as shown in the picture. First, mark the corners of the mouth, then the point of the upper lips, the center of the mouth, and finally the bottom edges of the lower lips. Embroider the outline of the mouth with red yarn, then fill it in. For more even stitching, use straight stitches across the surface of the mouth. Once you are done, embroider the center of the mouth with black yarn.
