Free crochet doll pattern for beginners - meet Olivia, the amigurumi doll
With this easy and free doll crochet pattern, you can bring some joy to your little girl! I think every little girl needs a cute amigurumi doll, so let’s make one! This would be a great gift for a birthday or just because. Let’s get started! :)

Olivia, the amigurumi doll was made using fingering cotton yarn, but feel free to use any yarn you prefer to crochet this cute amigurumi doll!
DON’T FORGET: If the toy is made for children under 3 years, instead of using safety eyes, embroider them!
Materials and supplies
Size of the toy, crocheted with the recommended yarn is approximately 27 cm tall.
This toy was made of 100% mercerized cotton yarn which weights is 50g/125m (each ball is less than 50 g)
Fiber filling
Big tapestry needle for sewing details together, scissors
2 pieces of 8 mm safety eyes
Abbreviations
I use US terms in all my English crochet patterns.
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
inc - increase
dec - decrease
dec3 - decrease in 3 sts
BLO - crochet into the back loop only
FLO - crochet into the front loop only

Arms (make two pieces)
Start: make a magic ring with the color of the skin.
1. 6 sc into the magic ring (6)
2. inc*6 (12)
3-5. sc into every st across (3 rounds) (12)
6. (sc, dec)*4 (8)
7-21. sc into every st across (8) (15 rounds)
Change color to light pink yarn.
22-24. sc into every st across (8) (3 rounds)
25. fold in half, crochet together with 4 sc (4)
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Legs - make two pieces
Start: with pink yarn ch 16, turn, crochet into the second chain from the hook:
1. inc*2, 11 sc, inc*2, continue crocheting on the other side of the chains: inc*2, 11 sc, inc*2 (38)
2. inc*2, 15 sc, inc*4, 15 sc, inc*2 (46)
3-6. sc into every st across (46) (4 rounds)
Crochet a few sc to the back center of the leg.
7. 14 sc, dec3*6, 14 sc (34)
8. 11 sc, dec3*4, 11 sc (26)
9. 10 sc, dec3*2, 10 sc (22)

Change color to gradient yarn, join the yarn into the back loop of the next stitch, then cut the pink yarn, leaving about a 30 cm (12-inch) tail.
12. BLO sc into every st across (16)
13-47. sc into every st across (16) (35 rounds)
For the first leg, cut the yarn. For the second leg, continue crocheting with the body. Crochet 4-5 sc to the inner center of the leg. Pick up the loose yarn, ch, then crochet 1 sc into each of the remaining stitches from the 11th round.
Body
1. 16 sc on the right leg, 16 sc on the left leg (32)
2-11. sc into every st across (32) (10 rounds)
Crochet +6-7 sc to the side of the body. Change color to light pink yarn.
12. sc into every st across (32)
13. BLO sc into every st across (32)
14. sc, dec, (2 sc, dec)*7, sc (24)

In the next rounds, attach the arms. Adjust the attachment point if the arms do not align with the sides of the body.

Change color to the color of the skin, continue crocheting the head.

Make the strands: ch 28, turn, crochet into the second chain from the hook: sc into every chain, sc into the next stitch on the base. Repeat the section between * * five times.
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Ponytail -make two pieces
Start: make a magic ring with yellow yarn.
1. 6 sc into the magic ring (6)

Cut the yarn, leave a long tail for sewing. Pin the hair to the head, arrange the hair strands, and then sew them on. Pin the ponytails to the sides of the hair, and then sew them on.
With white yarn, embroider straight stitches around the outer edge of the eye, then use finer black yarn to embroider the eyelashes and eyebrows. Add color to the cheeks with blush.
