Free unicorn crochet pattern
This little unicorn is truly one of a kind! I had so much fun making its pattern, and I love how amigurumis with long legs always turn out so cute. :) If you know a little girl, this unicorn would make the perfect gift!
The toy is worked in continuous rounds – do not join after each round.
If you feel it is necessary, use stitch marker to follow the lines.
Using invisible decreases makes the toy more beautiful.
Materials and supplies
Size of the toy, crocheted with the recommended yarn is approximately 26 cm tall.
This toy was made of 100% mercerized cotton yarn which weights is 50g/125m (each ball is less than 50 g)
Fiber filling
Big tapestry needle for sewing details together, scissors
2.5 mm crochet hook
Abbreviations
I use US terms in all my English crochet patterns.
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
inc - increase
dec - decrease
() - number of stitches in a round/row
(...)* - repeat instructions between * *
Arms - make two pieces
Start: make a magic ring with dark pink yarn.
1. 6 sc into the magic ring (6)
2-3. sc in each st across (2 rounds) (6)
Change colour to white.
4-18. sc in each st across ( 15 rounds)
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Muzzle
Start: make a magic ring with dark pink yarn.
1. 6 sc into a magic ring (6)
2. inc*6 (12)
3. (sc, inc)*6 (18)
4. (2 sc, inc)*6 (24)

At the first leg cut the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
Do not cut the yarn at the second leg, ch 8 sts, join the other leg with 1 sl st, ch 1.

1. 9 sc around the right leg, 8 sc in each st of the chain, 9 sc around the left leg, 8 sc in each st of the chain (34)

Crochet 7 sc to move the beginning of the row, this way the decreases will be on the sides of the toy.

Sew the mane to the head.
Tail - make seven pieces
Use the colors you used at crocheting the mane.
Ch 31, turn, work inthe second chain from hook:
1. (sc, inc)*15
Cut the yarn, leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew the mane to the body.
Horn
Start: with yellow yarn make a magic ring.
1. 6 sc into a magic ring (6)
2. sc in each st across (6)
3. (sc, inc)*3 (9)
4. sc in each st across (9)
Cut the yarn, leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew the horn to the head.
Ears - make two pieces
Start: with white yarn make a magic ring.
1. 6 sc into a magic ring (6)
2. (sc, inc)*3 (9)
3-5. sc in each st across (3 rounds) (9)
6. fold edges together, and sc them with 4 sc.
Cut the yarn, leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew the ears to the head.
