Free Cthulhu crochet pattern:

Start: with dark green yarn make a magic ring.

1. 6 sc into the magic ring (6)

2. inc*6 (12)

3. (sc, inc)*6 (18)

4. (sc, inc, sc)*6 (24)

5. (3 sc, inc)*6 (30)

6-8. sc into every st across (30) (3 rounds)

9. (3 sc, dec)*6 (24)

10-12. sc into every st across (24) (3 rounds)

13-14. 10 sc, (BLO 4 sc), 10 sc (24) (2 rounds)

Insert safety eyes between Rnds 13 and 14, with appropriate spacing. Start stuffing the head firmly and continue as you close.

15. (sc, dec)*8 (16)

16. fogy*8 (8)

Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Make the tentacles: Join dark green yarn to a remaining front loop from Rnd 13.

Ch 8, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Sl st to the next front loop on the head. Repeat until you get 8 tentacles.

Cut the yarn, leave a long tail, and embroider the eyebrows.

Attach keychain hardware to the top of the head.
