Materials and supplies
This toy was made of 100% mercerized cotton yarn which weights is 50g/125m (each ball is less than 50 g)
big tapestry needle for sewing details together
scissors
Abbreviations
I use US terms in all my English crochet patterns.
ch - chain
st - stitch
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
inc - increase
dec - decrease
(..) - number of stitches in a round/row
()*… - repeat instructions in brackets … times
The toy is crocheted in a continuous spiral, do not join the yarn at the end of each round.
If necessary, use a stitch marker to keep track of the rounds.
Use invisible decreases to make the result neater and more even.
Pine tree crochet pattern
Crochet with dark brown yarn: ch 6, turn, work into the second chain from the hook.
Round 1: 5 sc into the front loops of the chains, continue crocheting on the other side of the chains: 5 sc in the remaining stitches of the chain (10)
Rounds 2-6: sc in each stitch around (10) (5 rows)
Change to dark green yarn.
Round 7: sc in each stitch around (10)
Do not join at the end of the round.
Round 8: ch 7, turn, sc in the 2nd st from the hook, sc into the next 6 sts, sc in the next 5 stitches on the base, ch 7, turn, sc in the 2nd st from the hook, sc into the next 6 sts, sc in the next 5 stitches (22)
Round 9: sc 5 on the protruding part (in the remaining loops of the chain), inc*2, sc in the next 10 stitches, 5 sc on the protruding part, inc*2, sc in the next 10 stitches (38)
In the next round, crochet fewer sc so that the starting stitch is at the center of the tree.
Round 10: sc in each stitch around (38)
Round 11: 8 sc, dec3, sc in the next 16 stitches, dec3, 8 sc (34)
Round 12: sc in each stitch around (34)
Round 13: 7 sc, dec3, 14 sc, dec3, 7 sc (30)
Round 14: sc in the next 8 sts, ch 3, turn, sc in the 2nd st from the hook, sc in the next 2 sts, sc in the next 15 stitches, ch 3, turn, sc in the 2nd st from the hook, sc in the next 2 sts, sc in the next 7 sts (34)
Round 15: 8 sc on the base, 2 sc on the protruding part, sc in the next 17 sts, 2 sc on the protruding part, sc in the next 9 sts (38)
Round 16: sc in the next 9 sts, dec3, sc in the next 16 sts, dec3, sc in the next 7 st (34)
Round 17: sc in each st around (34)
Round 18: sc in the next 8 sts, dec3, sc in the next 14 sts, dec3, sc in the next 6 sts (30)
Round 19: (3 sc, dec)*6 (24)
Round 20: sc in each st around (24)
Round 21: sc, dec, (2 sc, dec)*5, sc (18)
Move the starting stitch to the center.
Round 22: sc in the next 5 sts, ch 2, turn, sc in the 2nd st from the hook, sc, sc in the next 9 sts, ch 2, turn, sc in the 2nd st from the hook, sc, sc in the next 4 sts (20)
Round 23: sc in the next 5 sts, sc on the protruding part, sc in the next 10 sts, sc on the protruding part, sc in the next 5 sts (22)
Round 24: sc in the next 5 sts, dec3, sc in the next 8 sts, dec3, sc in the next 3 sts (18)
Round 25: sc in each st around (18)
Round 26: (sc, dec)*6 (12)
Round 27: sc in each st around (12)

Cut the yarn, fasten off, and weave in the ends.
